Bethel Lutheran School advocates children experiencing the benefit of parent involvement. As such, we require a minimum number of parent participation hours. These parent participation hours are based on the program in which each child is enrolled. All parents of students who are enrolled in any preschool program have an annual participation requirement of 20 hours. Hours are per family, not per student. Parents who are unable to complete their hourly requirement will be charged $25 per uncompleted hour. Families are welcome to “buy out” their hours by submitting payment to BLS at $25 per hour.

Each adult family member that participates receives credit, as long as the Service Hour Completion Form is filled out and verified by the administrator for each event. Families that use the SchoolSpeak sign up feature still need to complete the form once their shift is complete.
